Neighborhood Canvassing & Fellowship Tonight. We will be putting action to this morning's emphasis on evangelism by canvassing our neighborhood with information about Equip U. Please wear comfortable shoes tonight and join us at 6:00 p.m. as we share the love of Christ with our neighbors. Following our time of canvassing, we will meet at Fuddruckers for a time of fellowship. Hope to see you tonight!
Church Office Hours. The church office will be closed Monday, September 1 in observance of Labor Day. We will be back in the office Tuesday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Business Meeting. Sunday, September 7, 7:00 p.m., Worship Center for Budget 2014-15 discussion.
Food Pantry. Our food pantry needs dry cereal, oatmeal, malto-meal, grits. You can leave your items at the food pantry door. Thanks for your generosity.
Worship Leadership. If you have an interest in helping lead worship with any of our Celebration groups (choir, orchestra, or praise band), please contact Bro. Ronnie. There are openings for most any instrument or vocalist. The choir is now coming down from the loft after the music portion of our worship service to facilitate involvement for families with children. Childcare is also available during rehearsals. Call the church office or Bro. Ronnie at 979-373-7301 for more info!
Children's Ministry Needs. During Equip U/Serve U on Wednesday nights beginning September 10, the children will be gathering for:
- Bait Camp (Grades 1-6),
- Mission Friends (3yr.old- Kinder)
- Childcare (newborn-2yr.old).
Jungle Preschool. All the Sunday School preschool classes have moved into the Jungle Preschool area, A1500 Suite. This move will:
- Improve security for our children.
- Be more accommodating to families with multiple children.
- Be better for Extended Teaching Care.
Fall Startup. We need more Extended Teaching Care workers. Extended Teaching Care is offered to families with children 4 years old and younger. This is a great way to be a part of the mission of our church: so that families both visiting and members can enjoy Knowing Him on Sunday mornings, by being able to drop off their children in a safe, loving environment with caring people. 1st grade-4th grade. First Grade through Fourth grade will be meeting in the Route 34 Large group room. First and Second grade parents will still drop off and pick up their children at the Studio K12 area.
UPWARD SPORTS MINISTRY
Flag Football & Cheer Practices. Practices for our flag football and cheer league begin the week of Sept. 1. Check other league dates at www.fbclj.org.
Basketball & Cheer League Sign-Ups are Underway. Children in grades 1-6 may register now at www.fbclj.org for our 2014-15 basketball and cheer season. Registration is $75 and is online only.
STUDENTS (GRADES 7-12)
The Anchor. We meet Wednesdays, 6:15 p.m., 3rd Floor. We have exciting things planned and invite you to join us and bring your friends!
Student Life Group. We will begin meeting again, Sunday, Sept. 14, 3rd Floor, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and then help with children’s ministry from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
COLLEGE & CAREER (Ages 18-25)
Bible Study and Fellowship. Join us on Tues. evening for Bible Study and fellowship at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Cody & Jordan Mather, 108 Austin’s Ct.
Women on Mission will meet Tuesday, September 2, 9:30 a.m. for tea with Grace in the FLC. We will hear guest speaker, Stan Moore share about Mercy Ships, Int’l., at 10:00 a.m. Sewing Classes. SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY
Keenagers will not meet Monday, Sept. 1 due to observance of Labor Day holiday. We will meet for our regular game day on Monday, Sept. 15, 1:00 p.m. in the FLC Parlor. Bring your favorite game and join us.

EQUIP U INFORMATION
What: Free 10-week instructional classes beginning Sept.10, 2014 and running through Nov. 19. See www.fbclj.org or enclosed ad for 2014 class offerings.
Who: Classes are open to everyone in our church and community!
When: Wednesdays Sept. 10 thru Nov.19 6:15-7:15 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
Where: Classes will be held in FBCLJ classrooms TBA.

What Ages: The classes are primarily intended for adults and teens. However, there will be childcare for newborn-2 year olds, Mission Friends for 3 years to K, Bait Camp for 1-6 grade. We also offer The Anchor teen worship service at the same hour.
SERVE U INFORMATION
Serve U will offer a limited number of pre-defined mission projects each semester available to anyone who wants to get outside the walls of the church to participate in hands-on mission activities. Participants may register at www.fbclj.org. Projects for Fall 2014 are listed online now.
